Posted by A 14-year veteran of the Brantford Police Service has been charged with a crime involving a minor.
The officer, who is 41 years old, faces a charge of communicating for the purposes of obtaining sexual services from a person under 18.
The accused officer has been suspended with pay, as per the guidelines set out in the Police Services Act of Ontario.
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Provincial Court of Justice in Brantford on April 25, 2019.
As the matter is currently before the court, Brantford Police Service will not be releasing any further information in regards to this incident.
