Fatal plane crash in Brant under investigation

A Brampton couple have been identified as the people who died in a plane crash at Brantford Municipal Airport on Tuesday morning.

County of Brant OPP arrived at the airport located at 110 Aviation Ave. in the County of Brant at approximately 8 a.m. on Nov. 13, 2018 in response to a plane crash that occurred overnight.

The OPP worked with County of Brant Fire Service and Brant-Brantford Paramedics to help two people found in downed Piper-Arrow plane had crashed on the property at the airport.

Police say that both occupants of the plane are confirmed deceased.  The two occupants have been identified as Mildred Chamberlain, 81, and Ronald Chamberlain, 76, both of Brampton, Ontario. 

The Transport Safety Board of Canada is investigating the crash.
