The arrest occurred around 7 p.m. but the duty officer could offer little information on Thursday
“We have an active investigation on the 403,” he said. “The situation is so dynamic that we can’t release much information until it has all been collated.”
Tweets from photojournalists David Ritchie and Andrew Collins said Brantford Police Service undertook a high-risk takedown of two men near Ancaster with help from Hamilton police and the OPP.
The tweets suggested a connection with the fatal shooting of Jeff Maxner in Brantford on Jan. 1.
