Bullet narrowly misses toddler in Brantford

Brantford Police Service is conducting an investigation into a shooting that occurred overnight at a residence in West Brant.
On Wednesday at approximately 11:15 p.m., an unknown person fired numerous shots into the front of a Strawberry Lane residence.

Investigators revealed many of the rounds penetrated the second story and entered the bedroom of a sleeping two-year-old chid.

At least one of the bullets narrowly missed the toddler, who was sleeping in her bed.

The Brantford police major crime unit is continuing this investigation and is appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone with information or anyone who may have surveillance video in the area is asked to contact police Det. Jason Sinning of the major crime unit at 519- 756-0113, ext. 2265.
