Posted by Police are investigating the shooting of a young man at a Cayuga Road residence on Monday.
At 5:18 p.m., police responded to report of a gunshot heard at a residence. Officers and paramedics helped a 27-year-old male with a gunshot wound, while in the driveway.
The police learned a man suspected of the shooting had left on foot prior to their arrival. Police with the assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police and the Brantford police canine unit are actively attempting to locate the suspect.
Police request motorists avoid Cayuga Road between 6th Line and 5th Line road at this time.
There is no apparent danger to the public as police believe the two males are known to each other.
Police are actively investigating and remain on scene.
