Collision in Brant proves fatal for two drivers

A collision in the County of Brant has led to two deaths Saturday evening.

Brant paramedics, firefighters and OPP officers responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash at 7:45 p.m. on Vanessa Road west of Simcoe Street in the village of Scotland. Two people were pronounced deceased at the scene while an Ornge air ambulance was called in but called off shortly after paramedics arrived.

The drivers of the two vehicles, 25-year-old Michael Kovacevic of Stoney Creek and 29-year-old Dillon Henry of Norfolk County, are the deceased.

A passenger in one of the vehicles a 29-year-old from Norfolk County was senttaken to a local hospital in a land ambulance with serious injuries.

After the initial collision, a third vehicle struck one of the cars involved in the initial collision. The driver of that third vehicle was not injured.

OPP technical traffic collision investigators (TTCI) have been deployed to the scene to continue the investigation.
