A Brantford man has suffered life-threatening injuries in a car fire along Highway 401.
The Oxford County OPP responded to a report of a vehicle and a person on fire at an eastbound stop along Highway 401 on Sunday at approximately 10:30 p.m.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but in the process three police cruisers were damaged.
The sole occupant who was driving the vehicle is a 41-year-old man from Brantford. He was transported to a Toronto trauma hospital by ORNGE with life-threatening injuries.
Highway 401 was closed for an OPP reconstruction team to conduct their investigation and re-opened at approximately 5 a.m.
