A TV production has taken over a part of the dike trail between River Road and Birkett Lane in the Brantford neighbourhood of Eagle Place until mid-October.
A shoot for the Peacock streaming service show “Departure,” featuring actors Archie Panjabi, Christopher Plummer, a Toronto native, and Evan Buliung, a Brantford native, has closed off a stretch of the trail until Oct. 16 to transform the area into “the site of a high speed rail crash in this suspense drama following the accident investigation.”
The first season of “Departure” is streaming now.
So River Road is closed to traffic where it bends to become Birkett Lane, and Birkett is closed to traffic just west of Erie Avenue.
