Brantford police seek three suspects in trio of convenience store robberies

Brantford Police Service is investigating after three separate convenience store robberies.

On Monday at approximately 11 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a robbery at a convenience store on Erie Avenue near Gladstone Avenue.

An unidentified male suspect, estimated to be in his 20s, wearing a black face covering brandished a firearm and demanded money from the store clerk.

The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in a black vehicle. The customers in the store at the time were unharmed.

On Tuesday at approximately 12 a.m., officers responded to another call about a convenience store robbery near Colborne Street West and Oak Street carried out by three males. A knife was used to demand cash from the store clerk.

Two male young offenders have been apprehended and are facing several charges. One of the accused is charged with robbery, disguise with intent and possession of a prohibited weapon. The second is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.

Police continue to seek the third suspect.

A day later at approximately 1:20 a.m., the police to another call about a robbery at the same location. An unidentified male suspect approached the store clerk, brandished a firearm and demanded money.

The unidentified male suspect, who was wearing black clothing and a black mask, obtained a small amount of money and fled the scene in a waiting motor vehicle. The store clerk was unharmed. There is not a vehicle description available.
