The 19-year-old Brantford man charged with murder on Tuesday has been revealed to be the victim’s son.
On Tuesday, Malcolm Donald MacNeil was charged with first-degree murder in the death of his father, Donald John MacNeil, 54. MacNeil’s body was found with multiple stab wounds at a Wayne Drive residence off Fairview Drive in Brantford.
A call about a traffic stop executed by the Perth County OPP around midnight on Tuesday to Brantford Police Service led to officers finding the body at the house.
The family of the accused and his father has requested the public respect their privacy at this difficult time, read a statement released by Brantford police.
