Update: Brantford Police Service says the young female has been found and her well-being verified. The BPS would like to thank the public for their assistance and concern in this matter.
Brantford Police Service is seeking public assistance to find a girl seen walking in West Brant on Thursday morning, although there has been no matching report of a missing child.
Since a concerned citizen called in about the girl, footage of her has been obtained from a business in a plaza on Shellard Lane.
The girl’s estimated age is between 8 and 12 years.
She was first seenwalking near Shellard Lane at approximately 4:30 a.m.
The girl was possibly wearing pink pyjamas and carrying a pink backpack.
She was last seen wearing a pink long-sleeved shirt with a white and black stripe across the chest and light blue, pink and yellow pants.
“Please be advised that Brantford Police Service have not received a missing person’s report,” reads a statement from police. “Brantford police would like to verify the girl’s location and well-being.”
