Working with police services in other jurisdictions, 35-year-old Roger Earl VanEvery of Brantford was arrested at around 2 a.m. on Thursday.

Although they could not specify exactly where in northern Ontario VanEvery was arrested, the Brantford Police Service thanked the Anishinabek Police Service, the North Bay Police Service and the OPP for their cooperation and assistance in this investigation.

“We would also like to thank Six Nations Police, Hamilton Police, London Police Service and Norfolk County OPP for their ongoing support in this investigation,” reads a statement.

All three were transported to hospital. Two of them, ages 25 and 26, survived, while 42-year-old Jason David Kossatz died due to his injuries.
