Brantford police are investigating a shooting incident that killed one man and injured two others.
On Saturday at 5:50 a.m., police and paramedics responded to the Galaxy Motel on Colborne Street East for a call regarding a male who was suffering from a gunshot wound at the motel.
Officers discovered three male victims who were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to hospital, where one of them, age 42, succumbed to his injuries. The two other victims, both males in their 20s, remain in hospital.
The Brantford Police Service major crime unit are currently investigating the incident. The area will be closed to the public for some time as the investigation continues. This incident is not believed to be a random act of violence.
