Brantford woman seriously injured in collision

A 41-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries from a collision in Brantford on Wellington Street near Park Avenue.

On Nov. 1 at approximately 6 p.m., the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision.

When officers arrived, they found a single motor vehicle that had struck a tree with a female passenger suffering from serious injuries. The 41-year-old female passenger from Brantford was initially transported to the Brantford General Hospital and later transferred to the Hamilton General Hospital with serious life-threatening injuries. The 35-year-old male driver from Brantford was uninjured in the collision and is cooperating with police.

Wellington Street between Park Avenue and Peel Street was closed for several hours during the investigation as members from the collision reconstruction unit processed the collision scene. Wellington Street is now open.
