A seven-year-old boy in Six Nations of the Grand River reported that someone tried to kidnap him from a residence on Tuscarora Road Saturday afternoon.
At 12:53 p.m., Six Nations Police learned the boy had been playing near the driveway of the residence between Fifth Line Road and Fourth Line Road when an unknown person pulled into the driveway in a black older model four-door truck with a blue cap and got out of the vehicle. The suspect was carrying green tape and a grocery bag with a strawberry on it, according to the boy, as the person ran at the child, but fell, enabling the child to run into the residence.
An adult relative of the boy called the police.
The suspect’s vehicle was last seen headed north.
The suspect is described as having a slim, short build and wearing gloves, black shoes and a white hooded sweater with black writing on the front. The sweater’s hood had eye, mouth and nose holes, which appeared to show blue eyes and fair skin.
Police immediately patrolled the area but were unable to find any vehicles matching the description.
Police canvassed the area and are attempting to obtain any video footage.
