Brantford police seek Colborne Street shooting suspects

A 25-year-old man is in hospital after being shot by a men still sought by police.

On Friday at approximately 2:15 a.m., Brantford Police Service responded to a call about a shooting on Colborne Street near Bain Street. Two males had gotten into an argument which turned into a physical confrontation. During the altercation, a third male became involved and shot the victim. The two suspects fled the area in a vehicle.

Officers victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers located and attempted to stop the suspect vehicle but failed to stop for police and continued out of town on Highway 403. Officers pursued the vehicle when the suspects hit marked police vehicles. Due to the risk to public safety, the pursuit was discontinued.

Brantford police are looking for a grey or silver four-door Mercedes last seen travelling at a high speed east on Highway 403.

One suspect has been identified as Andrew Steven Kreko, 30, 5’11”, 225 pounds. He has short brown hair and brown eyes.

The second suspect is described as an Asian male, 25 to 30 years old, with a medium build and long black hair that is short on the sides. He was wearing all black clothing and a black leather jacket.

The two suspects should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Call 911 immediately if you see them.
