Three 16-year-old males face aggravated assault charges laid by Brantford police after an incident in which a man was stabbed near the Grand River.
On Thursday, Sept. 26, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Brantford Police Service responded to a 911 call on Icomm Drive regarding a stabbing.
The 48-year-old victim had been at Brant’s Crossing when an argument started between him and a group of youths. The altercation turned physical and the victim was stabbed in the stomach. The youths fled the area. The victim went to the nearby casino for medical assistance.
Officers, along with paramedics, attended the casino to assist the victim. He was treated and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is in stable condition.
Officers searched the area where they located and arrested three suspects without incident. As a result of the investigation three males, all 16, from Brantford have all been charged with aggravated assault.
