A man and his son face criminal charges after child pornography was found in a Brantford residence in July and a teenage victim was identified.
On July 4, 2019, the internet child exploitation unit of the Brantford Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence on Hayhurst Road in Brantford.
As a result of the search warrant, several electronic devices were seized from the residence. A forensic examination of the electronic devices was conducted and were found to contain images of child pornography and evidence of child exploitation.
A victim between the age of 12 and 16 was identified as a result of the investigation and has since been located.
On Sept. 19, officers executed a second search warrant at the same residence and a computer was seized.
As a result of the investigation, a 52-year-old male and his 19-year-old son were both arrested and are facing a number of Criminal Code charges.
The 52-year-old Brantford male has been charged with sexual exploitation, sexual assault, sexual interference, making child pornography and possession of child pornography.
A 19-year-old Brantford male has been charged with possession of child pornography and make child pornography available. They have been held for a bail hearing.
