It looks as though a man who exposed himself to a woman in Simcoe nearly two weeks ago may have committed the same crime in the County of Brant.
The OPP’s Norfolk County detachment has been investigating a case in which a woman sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot off Queensway East on Saturday, Aug. 3 saw a man get out of an SUV completely nude. The man exposed himself to the woman, then got back into the SUV. The woman called the police about the incident.
Officers arrived at the scene but the suspect could not be found. He was last seen heading east through the parking lot behind the Winners store.
Investigators have pulled images of the man from surveillance footage. The suspect is described as a tall male, 20 to 30 years of age, with tanned skin, muscular arms and short dark hair.
The vehicle is described as a white SUV pulling a single Seadoo on a trailer. The trailer was covered in a black tarp which was held down by orange straps. The tarp had “spark” written in grey lettering across it.
A woman in Brant read about the Simcoe incident in the media and realized she had been victimized by a man fitting the same description.
The second victim was at a shopping plaza on Rest Acres Road in Paris on Thursday, Aug. 8 when she saw a man get out of a vehicle, take off his clothes and expose himself to her. The accused then put on a pair of swimming shorts.
