In connection to a stabbing investigation, Brantford Police Service has arrested a 17-year-old Brantford male wanted on six outstanding warrants.
On Monday, April 22, 2019 on Kennedy Street just before 4 p.m., police responded to a 911 call about an assault near Sydenham Street.
Officers found a 41-year-old male who was suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The ensuing investigation revealed the attack was not a random act of
violence. Investigators learned the victim and suspect know each other. A 17-year-old Brantford male was identified as a suspect and a warrant was sought for his arrest.
On Thursday, June 13, investigators tracked down the accused to a residence on Dalhousie Street. Officers arrested the suspect without incident.
A 17-year-old Brantford male has been charged with aggravated assault, motor vehicle theft, fail to comply with a recognizance order and breach of probation.
