Two people are in custody and face charges for a shooting in downtown Brantford.
A 23-year-old man was found in a Dalhousie Street alley around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday with a gunshot wound to his torso after reports of shots fired nearby.
Detectives identified suspects in the shooting as Chad Wray-McCombs and Lori Staats.
Staats,25, was arrested Thursday at 1 a.m.
Wray-McCombs, 29, has been taken into custody after the Toronto Police Service successfully negotiated with him. He surrendered peacefully after he was holed-up inside a residence Thursday afternoon.
Both suspects are facing charges including aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, careless use of a firearm and discharging a firearm with intent β endanger life under the Criminal Code of Canada.
