Police have found what appears to be another another illegal waste dump, this time in Brant.
County of Brant OPP officers arrived at Powerline Road near the CN Rail crossing regarding suspicious containers found on Feb. 7 at approximately 8 a.m. The containers were believed to have been dumped sometime since early January 2019.
The dumping site was similar to those found in Brantford on Spalding Drive, Golf Road and Edge Street just a few days earlier.
The containers were filled with unknown waste materials. All of the containers were wrapped and taped in heavy plastic or garbage bags.
Investigators believe the sites may possibly be for waste from illegal drug labs.
If anyone comes upon a similar scene, please take caution and do not attempt to move or open any containers located as the unknown waste may be volatile and toxic. Contact police immediately and stay clear of the area.
