Brantford Police are investigating the shooting of a man in the city’s northwest corner on Wednesday.
On Jan. 23 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Brantford Police Service responded to a residence on Woodlawn Avenue in relation to a report of a shooting. The victim, a male in his 20s, had sustained injuries.
The victim was sent to hospital, where he is currently being treated. He is in stable condition.
Brantford Police Service are of the opinion that the victim and unknown suspect or suspects are known to each other, and that this was not a random incident. The police continue to investigate.
One suspect is described as a lighter skinned black male, approximately six-foot-one, unshaven, with short black hair. He was wearing black jeans and a grey short jacket.
The other suspect was a male wearing a blue jacket with a hood. No further information is available.
