Brant County OPP has charged two people with drug trafficking after a traffic stop on Friday.
An patrol officer stopped a car on Colborne Street East in the County of Brant at approximately 3 p.m. on Jan. 4, 2019 for a investigation.
The officer found items in the vehicle that triggered a criminal investigation. During the course of the investigation, the officer located over 14 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine, more than four grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl and other substances believed to be covered by the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Police have arrested and charged a 36-year-old Brantford man and a 31-year-old woman of the County of Brant with two counts each of possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.
They will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to the. charges.
