“Last year was a huge success,” said Randy Papple, Deputy Chief of the Brant/Brantford Paramedic Services and Parkas from Paramedics Campaign Lead at the County of Brant. “This year, we would like to partner with Freedom House.”
The Kindness Centre is an initiative of The Kindness Project, the outreach ministry of Freedom House.
“For many years, The Kindness Centre has been providing food, clothing, supplies and a generous serving of hope to many families in the Brant and Brantford area,” said Dave Caroll of Freedom House. “We are thrilled to have the paramedics helping the community this year.”
Paramedics will be collecting parkas, socks, hats and gloves this year to help keep the community warm during the chilly winter.
“We need everyone’s help,” said Papple. “We truly appreciate the community’s spirit of coming together.”
To donate warm winter wear, please visit:
• Giant Tiger, 82 King George Rd, Brantford, during the Annual Toy Drive on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
• The Paramedic Administration Building, 303 Henry St. Brantford, Monday to Friday from 9 am – 4 pm.
• Freedom House on Thursdays from 11 am to 2 pm or any day and time in the outdoor donation bin at 1 Market St. Brantford.
• County of Brant Community Services Office, 15 Curtis Ave. N. in Paris, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am – 4 pm.
Donations will be accepted until the end of 2018.
