A 40-year-old man faces numerous criminal charges after a bomb threat was made at a Brantford business.
On Saturday, Nov. 24 at approximately 9:30 p.m., a man went into a local business in the Stanley Street and the Dalhousie Street area to claim he had a bomb tied around his neck.
The police arrived, cordoned off the area and began negotiations with the man. As a precaution, businesses temporarily evacuated.
It was quickly determined the man had no real bomb and was arrested without incident.
The man has been charged with numerous criminal offences and has been since remanded in custody. Brantford police would like to thank the local businesses for their cooperation during this investigation.
