A Brantford man is dead after a collision in West Brant early Saturday.
At approximately 2:55 a.m., Brantford Police Service responded alongside firefighters and paramedics to a report of a single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Ballantyne Drive and Spalding Drive in Brantford. Two men were in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
As a result of injuries sustained in the collision, a 23–year–old Brantford man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The adult male passenger was transported to the Brantford General Hospital for minor injuries, where he was treated and released.
The Brantford Police Service traffic section investigated the scene, but has since re-opened the roads in the area. An investigation is still underway to determine the cause of the collision.
The names of the two men are not being released until next of kin are notified.
