Brantford police are hunting for two men accused of armed robbery at a convenience store.

On Saturday, Oct. 6 at around 6:20 a.m., Maple Convenience at 373 Colborne St. was robbed by an armed suspect. The suspect is described as a heavyset, short white male, wearing a grey zip-up hoodie with the hood up (hoodie has black stitching on the seams and a kangaroo pouch), baggy grey jogging pants, grey baseball cap with white lettering, grey shoes and black gloves.

A store clerk sustained minor injuries during a struggle with the armed suspect.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash.

A second suspect acted as the lookout. He is much taller than the armed suspect. The lookout is skinny with a light but not pale complexion in his 20s with some facial hair. He was wearing a red Air Jordan hoodie with the black Jumpman logo on the left chest, jeans and white running shoes. He had a dark piece of cloth sticking out of the right rear pocket of his jeans.

Both suspects were last seen heading south on Park Avenue.

For investigative reasons, the weapon used will not be disclosed.

The suspects should not be approached as they are considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Jason Davis of the major crime unit at 519-756-0113, ext. 2273 or Crime Stoppers at 519-750-8477.
