A person is dead after a vehicle hit the victim on Highway 24 in the County of Brant on Saturday night.
OPP officers responded to the collision scene after 10 p.m. south of Highway 53. Investigators have determined a vehicle travelling north on Highway 24 south of Highway 53 struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene west of Brantford and south of Paris. The victim was identified as 68-year-old William Stone of Oakville, Ontario on Sunday by the OPP.
Highway 24 between Highway 53 and Arthur Road remained closed for several hours to allow for the investigation by OPP technical traffic collision investigators.
