In an effort to make roadways safer for drivers, beginning overnight on Sunday, Aug. 12, the City of Brantford will initiate a project to update roadway lines and symbols throughout the community, starting with the city’s main arteries.
The paint trucks and accompanying pickup trucks will require space on the main roads so the city asks drivers to avoid crossing the lines in close proximity to the trucks as much as possible.
In residential areas, cones will be used to notify drivers that arrows, stop bars or pedestrian crossings have been painted. Please exercise caution around paint crews to ensure their and your safety.
Pending weather conditions, the process is expected to take approximately four to six weeks.
For more information regarding this project please call the city’s customer contact centre at 519-759-4150.
