A near head-on collision on Highway 24 north of Brantford has sent two young men to the hospital with serious injuries.
The SUV driven by one of the men collided with a dump truck on the highway, also known as Brant Road, between Scenic Drive and McLean School Road after 8 a.m. on Monday, June 25.
Brant County OPP Const. Ken Johnston said the injuries sustained by two young men, believed to be in their 20s, are not believed to be fatal or “life-altering,” but are serious.
Johnston believes construction in the area may have factored into the presence of the dump truck.
The OPP was getting ready to re-open the section of road to traffic at around 2 p.m.

Technical collision investigators were not called to the scene.
Anyone with information about the collision can contact the OPP at 1-888–310-1122 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or http://www.crimestoppers-brant.ca to leave an anonymous message. Tipsters may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
