Three people face drug trafficking and firearms charges after the County of Brant OPP seized fentanyl and firearms at a Jerseyville Road residence on Thursday at a huge home.
The Ontario Provincial Police’s organized crime enforcement bureau, along with the west region community street crime units, tactics and rescue unit, emergency response team, urban search and rescue CBRNE Response Team, aviation services, west region support and the forensic identification unit executed a search warrant at 218 Jerseyville Rd., west of Ranch Road, on June 7 in the early morning.
As a result, officers found a quantity of fentanyl, a potentially deadly painkiller, and firearms on the property.
Officers also arrested and charged 27-year-old Jassem Hamdi Jassem of the County of Brant, 29-year-old Dila Bataineh of the County of Brant and 34-year-old Roger Vanevery of the City of Brantford.
All three people were charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances act, unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm contrary.
The three accused will appear in a Brantford courtroom at a later date to answer to their charges.
