Brantford police investigate shots fired

Police are looking for a man believed to have fired a gun at a Terrace Hill Street building early Tuesday morning.

On May 29 at 6:32 a.m., Brantford Police Service patrol Officers responded to a location on Terrace Hill Street after reports of gun shots. Officers noticed bullet holes in the building and called in the emergency response team along with a K9 team.  Forensic identification officers gathered evidence from the scene.

Witnesses reported no injuries. Officers learned a male suspect was seen running west up Terrace Hill Street. The suspect is described as having a thin build and wearing a grey or black hoodie.

Investigators say it is unknown if the building was targeted. The BPS major crime unit is asking for the public’s assistance. Anyone who may have seen the suspect or who may have video surveillance in the area is asked to contact the Brantford Police Service’s Detective Francis at 519-756-0113, ext. 2272.
