A 46-year-old Brantford woman has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after two children were injured at a West Brant home.
On Wednesday, Jan. 17, shortly before 8 a.m., officers responded to a call to assist paramedics at a house on Edith Monture Avenue.
At the house, the accused was taken into police custody.
The paramedics treated and took two children with injuries not considered life-threatening to a hospital.
The accused woman was also transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She remains in police custody.
The scene was secured while members of the Brantford Police Service major crime unit and forensics identification unit investigated the incident.
The investigation led police to charge the accused with two counts of attempted murder.
She will be held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday.
Brantford police is not releasing the name of the accused to protect the identity of the victims.
