Brantford Police Service has a woman in custody following the injury of two children.
On Wednesday, Jan. 17, shortly before 8 a.m., officers responded to a call to assist paramedics at a house on Edith Monture Avenue in the West Brant area.
At the house, a 46-year-old Brantford woman was taken into police custody.
The paramedics treated and took two children with injuries not considered life-threatening to a hospital.
The accused woman was also transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She remains in police custody.
The scene has been secured while members of the Brantford Police Service major crime unit and forensics identification unit continue to investigate the incident.
Const. Natalie Laing said the police do not believe there is any danger to the public.
