The County of Brant OPP has charged a Brantford man with attempted murder following a violent confrontation.
Officers responded to a call about an assault at a Brant Road address, north of Brantford and Governors Road, on Saturday, Jan. 13 at around 4:54 p.m.
An investigation determined two men got into an argument which turned physical and involved an edged weapon. The accused allegedly injured the victim seriously with the edged weapon. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
A short time later, officers from Brantford Police Service found the accused and arrested him without incident.
County of Brant OPP has charged 36-year-old Justin Sherwood of Brantford with attempting to commit murder, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and disobeying an order of the court.
He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
