Posted by Brantford police are investigating the stabbing death of a 42-year-old woman on Sheridan Street.
Officers and paramedics arrived at a residence Thursday after a receiving a 9:39 p.m. call to find the victim seriously injured. She was taken to a hospital and pronounced deceased.
A 24-year-old Brantford woman was arrested at the scene. She has been charged with second-degree murder, assault, assaulting a police officer and four counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
Brantford police say the name of the accused and the victim will not be released because they have a domestic relationship.
Detectives will be canvassing the neighbourhood as part of the investigation.
