Brantford police make massive drug seizure, charge Toronto man

Brantford police seized nearly $89,000 worth of illegal drugs, as well as firearms, from a from a Huff Avenue residence on Friday and charged a Toronto man numerous times.
Street crime unit officers raided the home shortly after 12 p.m. with patrol officers, emergency response team members and a Guelph police canine unit to search the premises.
The raid led to the seizure of a large quantify of cash, a loaded firearm with a prohibited magazine containing ammunition,21 fentanyl patches with a street value of $4,200, 515.31 grams of cocaine valued at $51,380, 139.49 grams of crack cocaine worth $13,800, 225 hydromorph capsules with a street value of $7,875, 9.69 grams of heroin worth $3,600, 5.1 grams of methamphetamine estimated to sell for $750, 270 five-milligram oxycodone pills with a street value of $2,700, 23.83 grams of ecstasy worth $1,610 and 206.08 grams of marijuana valued at $2,875.
The total street value of seized drugs was $88,790.
The accused, 32-year-old Jerome Cerleto Nolan of Toronto, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime, eight counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of firearm, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of prohibited device – an unauthorized magazine with a capacity of thirteen rounds – possession of prohibited ammunition, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, and possession of a firearm contrary to order.
The accused has been held pending a bail hearing.
